The customer had an ageing conservatory that they wanted replacing with something better insulated but still with plenty of light and a good view of the garden. They also wanted a living “green roof” to look at from the upstairs windows. The existing base of the conservatory stayed and a contemporary timber “Glu-Lam” extension was built. This was clad in Cedar timber and used Fakro triple glazed roof lights and Schuco aluminium bi-fold doors. The old patio doors were replaced by oak internal bi-fold doors to open up the house through to the garden.
